Anthony “Tony” Bell lives in Alvarado, Texas and has worked at JPS Health Network as a Medical Technologist in the laboratory department since 1982.He started raising rabbits at 16, took time off while in college and came back to raising rabbits in 1981 with his wife Kathy.Palomino, Flemish Giant, New Zealand and Himalayan are the four main breeds that he has raised.In the Texas Rabbit Breeders Assoc. he has been a Director, Vice President and several times the President.He has also held those office in the Texas New Zealand rabbit Club, is President of the Johnson County Rabbit Club, has been a Director for the American Federation of New Zealand Rabbit Breeder, Inc. and has been on many committees for all of those organizations.
Mr. Bell has had his American Rabbit Breeders Assoc. judge’s license since 1993 and has judged in many states across the US, including several State Fairs. In an average year he will judge as many or more County Fairs or Junior Livestock Shows as ARBA shows.Currently, he is one of the Superintendents for the Rabbit Division at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
